| I was given an appointment for a shingles vaccine. When I attended the nurse informed me that I couldn’t have it until 25th September.
The nurse didn’t apologise and blamed me for the mix up. The practice relies on our clinical system to invite patients for vaccinations and other reviews due to the high number of patients that need to be contacted. As the shingles vaccination is a smaller cohort of patients we will look into the to see if we can identify what has caused this to prevent it from reoccurring. |
| An appointment was made for me, which I did not request- it was then a 45 minute wait, and all that the appointment was for was to weigh me, and take my
BP which I could have submitted myself 2 weeks earlier in order to get my prescription. People were walking out as they were waiting so long. Please accept our apologies if you do experience a delay to your appointment. Whilst we do try to avoid this, there may be times where the GP or Nurse are dealing with an emergency which is unplanned and will impact on the clinicians appointment time. From time to time we do also have GP’s or Nurse’s covering for our own staff absence who may not be familiar with the practice or area so it may take them a little bit longer at the beginning.

| My husband and myself had appointments for shingles vaccine which was changed by the practice without asking us. We waited 45 minutes in which time
2 patients went in. We had to leave and be put back on the list because we had other things to do Plus nobody knew why the nurse was running late |
