  • We provide a text messaging service to help us to contact you for recalls, appointments, reminders. Do you feel that this has helped in receiving information in a timely manner?

  • We have introduced EConsult in October 2019. EConsult is an on-line consultation software accessed through the Practice website. Do you feel that it is becoming easier to make contact and to get appropriate advice?

Warrington Carers Centre – WIRED: Are Still Supporting Carers

Covid-19: In response to Government guidelines, our staff and volunteers are currently working from home and are available via telephone, email, and video call to continue to support carers.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, even if it’s just for some reassurance, emotional support or information about other local services, we are here to help.
Wired have over 3,000 registered carers and we are doing our utmost to continue to provide a quality service.

Who we are and what we do:
The Carers Centre provides free support to both adult and young carers. The overall aim of the service is to identify and improve the quality of life for carers in Warrington. Enabling them to sustain their caring role and enhance their ability to enjoy a life outside of caring, by improving their health and wellbeing.
Services currently being provided by Wired:

Emotional support.
Information, advice and support on carer issues.
GP Liaison & Hospital Discharge Service offering support, information and advice if you or the person you care for go into hospital.
Referrals & signposting to other local services.
The opportunity to talk confidentially with a carer support worker.
Free carers’ 24-hour emergency card service (this can be used as ID for carers needing to shop or emergency travel.
Free Leisure Access card assessments.
Free quarterly newsletters.
Young Carers’ services are still providing:
Emotional health & wellbeing support.
Referrals & signposting to other local services.
Mindfulness, activities and information packs.
